Why we started

I’ve been a CPA for over 15 years.  I have made a career as a tax manager with CPA firms and law firms and as a CFO in industry. I even owned and operated four tax offices of a very prominent tax franchise. Throughout my career, I kept meeting people who had problems with the IRS or state tax agencies.  It amazed me how ruthless the IRS was in pursuing these people.  Most had lost their jobs, had huge medical bills or had businesses that were going through some financial difficulties at the time.  The IRS didn’t seem to care.  They went after these folks with a vengeance.

Now when someone gets a “tax due” letter from the IRS, it starts one of the most stressful times of their life.  When clients would come to me, I could see the stress on their face and in their voice.  But, the fact that the IRS will take a huge debt and settle with a person (as long as they meet specific qualifications) for a fraction of what they owed gave me hope.  I wanted to help these people and I had the skills to do it.

I researched the industry. Unfortunately, many CPA and law firms don’t want to deal with the issues of everyday people.  The fees they charged sometimes ran $6,000 or more.  I knew most people couldn’t afford that, but still needed help. Some of the large tax resolution companies I saw on television or heard on the radio had terrible Better Business Rating and had huge numbers of complaints.  One of the largest companies was involved in a $6 million class action lawsuit over how they conducted business.  Another was banned from doing business in New York.

So I started Alliance Tax Resolution Service (ATRS).  I created our unique 9 Point Program to ensure each CPA and enrolled agent you work with at ATRS follows the same guidelines I have used to solve the tax problems of many clients.  Our fees are reasonable and affordable.  We can work with any client, large or small and in any state.  We have a track record of success and we want to work for you.
